COUPLES COUNSELLING: please note - telephone counselling is not practical for working effectively with more than one person so I am unable to work with couples at present.

I am a qualified and accredited counsellor with over fifteen years experience.
My specialist areas include:

  • anxiety and panic attacks

  • bereavement, grief and loss

  • health issues, such as cancer, health anxiety and sight loss

  • relationship difficulties (I am a trained and experienced couples counsellor)

  • stress

  • work-related issues, such as bullying, redundancy, or work-life balance

My practice is based in Leighton Buzzard, which is easily accessible from Bletchley, Dunstable and Luton.
I work at The Old Surgery Counselling Centre, 34 High St LU7 1EA where there are several counselling rooms, all on the first floor.

If you need more accessible premises then I also offer appointments at The Old Surgery's other address just off the High St on Church Square where there are two ground floor rooms and nearby Blue Badge parking.

    Some comments from clients -

    [F - female - age 40]

"Jean listened to me, and challenged me, and pointed me in directions I hadn't thought of."
    [J - female - age 69]

" I appreciated your patience and impartiality…guidance and alternative viewpoints."
    [T - male - age 55]

    Couples counselling
If you are experiencing problems in your relationship you might like to try couples counselling. Alternatively, you might prefer to talk through your concerns about your relationship with a counsellor in a one-to-one session. To help you decide which is right for you consider the following:

  • is the problem something personal to me or is it a problem within our relationship?

  • is my partner open to the idea of attending relationship counselling?

  • do I feel ready to embark on relationship counselling or would I benefit from some individual counselling first?

I offer appointments in Leighton Buzzard on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

If you're looking for a counsellor in Leighton Buzzard, or accessible from surrounding areas such as Dunstable, Luton or Bletchley - then please contact me to arrange an appointment or for further information.
